“Because, we are living here”: Austria – Turkey: area of tension Fishbowl discussion
The recruitment of workers from Turkey, which began in the 1960s, led to a continuous growth of the Turkish community. While the integration of these people into the Austrian society has experienced many ups and downs, it is currently the policy of the Turkish president Erdoğan, which leads to a high attention on people with Turkish migration background.
