Ahmad Seddeeq came from the Islamic Cultural Centre in Iceland to talk to us about the good experience that Muslim communities have in the country. He praises the government and police for the good work they are doing through their programmes to prevent hate speech and promote good relationships. From his point fo view, authorities have to play a big role in this. Good communication is essential.

Mr. Seddeeq participated in the International Conference “Muslims are…: challenging stereotypes, changing perceptions” organized by Open Society Foundation Slovakia last October in Bratislava as part of SISUMMA´s training programme on European citizenship, minorities and multicultural coexistence.

His voice talks to the people who are scared of Muslims living in Europe: “give yourself a chance to listen to them, to communicate”
